who we are

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to

experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship services.

You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through

visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love

Our Sunday services are an opportunity for people to come and enjoy time together—whether it's their first time or they've been coming for years. Being in community impacts lives and reminds us that we can't do life alone.

No ties here… well, unless you want to… the rest of us are in jeans and t-shirts. About 75% of the church is made up of millennials (early 20’s to mid 30’s). The music is loud, the message is relevant but will challenge you, and the people will become like family during your first visit.

Kids are important to us, so we’ve created a place for them to learn about Jesus on their level. Every Sunday all children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.

City Hill Kids exists to come alongside parents to disciple their children. We do so by walking with them through their spiritual development--building Christ-centered relationships, teaching a Bible-centered curriculum, and participating in missional activities.

Warning: Your child will love it here! We are not responsible for the screaming accompanied by foaming at the mouth because they want to come back.

our beliefs

“There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…“ (Ephesians 4:4-6)

“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters… Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls… So then each of us will give an account of himself to God… So …whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.” (Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22)

“…If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains — but have no love, I amount to nothing at all.” (1 Cor. 13:2)

“…instruct certain individuals not to spread wrong teaching… Their teaching only causes useless guessing games instead of faithfulness to Gods way of doing things. The goal of instruction is love from a pure heart, … Because they missed this goal, some people have been distracted by talk that doesn’t mean anything. They want to be teachers of Law without understanding either what they are saying or what they are talking about with such confidence.“ (1 Timothy 1:3-7 CEB)

  • Scripture.

We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the Scriptures as originally given and that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort in all matters with which they deal, including scientific and historical as well as moral and theological (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13).

  • God

We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

  • The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16).

  • Christ’s Death & Resurrection

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples (1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25).

  • Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11).

  • The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation with endowment of power for life and service. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8;1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:22-25).

  • The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14 and as manifested in the Early Church.

  • Eternal Life

We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers (Mark 9:43-58; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15).
